We are excited and grateful to experience the unique atmosphere that the artists will create during the festival, held in the historic Hotel Villa Terminus.

PAB open has since 2013 gathered artists from the whole world and presented hundreds of performances. With performances at the same time in the entire building it creates a special atmosphere. The audience could go from room to room and experience actions, body movements, sounds, visual expressions and more, some poetic others political actions. New moments are constantly happening in the hotel, which is the power of performance art. In a digitized world, it is more important than ever to be able to appreciate the present.

PAB aims to strengthen and promote performance art, recognizing that gatherings and reflections are essential for the development of both national and international performance art movements. In addition to the performance program, we will also host a seminar. This time, we have invited international artists from Bbeyond, Performance Art Norway, and an international artist and writer to reflect on “The Challenges Performance Art Faces.” The seminar will foster dialogue between the audience, artists, and speakers. We look forward to this important discussion.

PAB OPEN is not curated; it is an open festival where both experienced artists and those just starting out are invited to participate through an open call. PAB believes it’s important to offer some open formats. In this format, the first artists to register are included in the program. The focus of the festival is to foster new connections. All the artists, including regional participants, will stay at the hotel and present their work in the hotel room they are assigned. It’s a weekend where artists, the PAB team, photographers, and volunteers come together to share meals and engage in discussions about the field. Most importantly, performance art will be showcased throughout Hotel Villa Terminus.
